Preparation for the Sacraments

 
Please contact one of the priests if you or your son or daughter requires preparation for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation or Marriage. A parish catechist usually carries out preparation for First Holy Communion. Preparation for Confirmation takes place in St John Stone’s Parish. Christ the King RC High School in Birkdale provides a list of 14 and 15-year-old pupils who are in the parish and may wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. If your son or daughter does not attend a Catholic school, you must notify the parish priest of your wish for them to be prepared for the sacraments.

Those who wish to marry must first speak to the parish priest about arrangements for their preparation for this sacrament.
